Doll & Hobby proudly brings back another classic kit from the golden age of models, Sealab III!

Sealab III is newly tooled to faithfully replicate the original 1970 model. This is a complex model, with a detailed interior, and features a partial clear hull to reveal the inside. There are four diver figures to display with your model on the textured seabed base. Paint and cement required for assembly — sold separately.
Sealab was an ambitious project designed to test deep underwater habitats, advanced diving techniques, and living in that environment for extended periods of time. Sealab III was an advanced stage of the project and intended to operate at a depth of 600 feet. Supporting up to eight divers or “aquanauts” for up to twelve days at a time. The laboratory was deployed in February 1969, but immediately encountered technical challenges and the project was canceled in 1970.
The original release was heavily promoted in comic book ads and catalogs, but when the project was canceled, the kit was discontinued. The 1970 model kit is highly collectable and was notably used to detail many of the spacecraft in 1977’s Star Wars.
